the beautiful landscape produced by the interaction between the Longxiang Tower and the Tianchi north to the tower. Here the tower shadow emerges into the pool and the pool water mirrors the tower. Located at Qingxiu Mountain, it is one of the ‘Top Ten Attractions” of Nanning. The tower is named Longxiang while Tianchi is a huge artificial lake lying at the waist of Qingxiu Mountain. The lake is named Tianchi (pool of the heaven) thanks to its location. There are pavilions built on the side of Tianchi, providing an ideal place for rest. It is amazing too to feed the fish along the lake while enjoying the nice landscape.
Champion Scholar Spring
Lies at the Maozi Ridge of Qingxiu Mountain. Tradition has it that there was once a poor scholar living mainly on firewood collecting at the foot of Qingxiu Mountain. He was poor and sometimes has to beg for living. However, under this extremely hard condition, the scholar kept on studying and never ceased and finally he won the champion in the final imperial examination. It is said that the scholar had used to rest and reading along the spring and drink the spring when he felt thirsty or hungry. Thus the spring was later named Champion Scholar Spring. With the water clean and cool and a story moving motivational, there are lots of citizens coming here to get water every day and visitors here also rush to drink the water. Champion Scholar Spring, exploring scenery from the spring and supported by the Champion Scholar Pavilion, Tanhua (scholar at the third place) Corridor and Bangyan (scholar at the second place) Pavilion, re-produces the ancient Chinese imperial examination system and the champion scholar culture.
