The large-scale performance The Impressional Sanjie Liu is the core project of The Li River Mountain-Water Theatre,it was invested by GuiLin Guangwei Wenhua Tourism and Culture Co.Ltd.，and took 5 years to completed．This performance expresses the beautiful scenery of the Li River，the colorful culture of the ethnic groups in Guangxi and the brave imagination of the excellent artists in China，it is the first of its kind the word.
The performance regards the lmpressional Sanjie Liu as the general theme，and creatively combines the ciassical Sanjie Liu's Songs，ethnic groups’Culture and the fishing lights together，to refect the harmonious atmosphere between human beings and the nature．The pertormance lasts for 70 minutes and 600 plus actors and actress are invoIved．

Director - Zhang Yimou

Chinese director Zhang Yimou is well known for his films but much less is known about his creation of a series of the world's first outdoor scene performances in China know as the "Impressions," including "Impression Liu Sanjie," "Impression Lijiang" and "Impression of West Lake."

Since graduating from the Beijing Film Academy in 1982 at the ripe young age of 32, Zhang Yimou has emerged as one of the most recognized film directors currently in China. With many films under his belt he is now the most prolific of the so called "Fifth Generation" film directors. While his films are quite well-known globally, very little is known about his recent divergence into stage production, which has ultimately led him to co-direct the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
